2003

  • Mark volunteers to be the Sunday school class Prayer Coordinator at FBA

2004

  • Introduction of a prayer pastor, in the sanctuary, with Mark proclaiming (to himself of course), “What a boring job that must be.”

2005

  • Intimacy with the Lord becomes a real desire
    • This was answered over the course of the next few years by giving Mark a love for prayer

2006

  • Sons of Thunder and the Under the Pulpit ministry starts: March 18, by Dr. Stanley
    • When it’s “day-to-day” leader left In Touch in about May 2006 Mark (with the guidance of Bob Schipper) was left running Sons of Thunder

2007

  • Common Thread Ministries (with encouragement from local Interior Designer Michael Brookshire) started as a Bible study to Architects and Interior Designers
  • Jacksonville FL church starts a corporate prayer time (which is still going)
  • Cumming GA church starts a corporate prayer time (which is still going)
  • Bible study before Sons of Thunder begins in The Chapel

2008

  • Prayer Conferences Attended: Church Prayer Leaders National Conference in Columbia SC, Speechless in Toccoa GA,
  • Relationships with prayer leaders Daniel Henderson, Greg Frizzell, Jonathan Graf, et al begin
  • Wednesday night “Engage” Prayer Discipleship classes start at FBA
  • Bible Study after Sons of Thunder starts
  • All - Night prayer begins
  • Focus on “Praying Scripture Back to God” begins
  • FBA's Sons of Thunder begin praying for an FBA Women's Prayer Ministry

2009

  • Prayer Conferences Attended: Church Prayer Leaders Regional Conference in MI (taught a breakout session on starting men's prayer ministries), Speechless (19 people from FBA attend), Prayer and Discipleship Conference in Spring TX
  • Relationships with prayer leaders David Butts, Marty Youngblood, et al begin
  • Rome GA church starts a corporate prayer time, but it ends when the pastor heads to another church
  • Short Term Missions Prayer Coordinator project started
  • Corporate 40 Hour Fasts practiced
  • FBA’s Alabaster Women begin bi-weekly prayer

2010

  • Prayer Conferences Attended: ReFRESH: Conference at Brooklyn Tabernacle (with 4 FBA prayer leaders), Speechless (28 people from FBA attend Mark spoke in a breakout session and as the final keynote speaker), Prayer and Discipleship Conference in Spring TX, FBA Pastors Conference (Mark did 2 breakout sessions),
  • Relationships with prayer leaders Robert Anderson, Fayiz Saknini, et al begin
  • February, Douglasville Pulpit Ministry begins
  • Women at Cumming church begin bi-weekly corporate prayer
  • June, Jacksonville FL church Pulpit Ministry begins
  • September, FBA Singles Wednesday Night Prayer Discipleship class starts
  • September, Aiken SC Association monthly corporate prayer starts
  • November, Common Thread Ministries becomes a fulltime endeavor
  • November 7, Mark teaches in Pavo GA - First official event
  • December 6 - 12, Mark heads to FL to speak and has 9 meetings in 7 days
  • December 20, Singles Prayer class invites Mark back to teach its final class
  • Ministering to Associations becomes a major role for Common Thread Ministries to address

2011
